WHEN A PATRON SEES A POSTED SIGN SAYING - "NO GUNS ALLOWED"
ARE THEY WRONG TO PLACE TRUST AND EXPECT TRUTH IN THOSE WORDS?
IS IT WRONG FOR A BUSINESS TO KNOWINGLY BREACH THEIR PATRONS TRUST?
ONCE A BUSINESS OWNER IS MADE AWARE OF THE IOWA LAW THAT ALLOWS an INDIVIDUAL ISSUED A CONCEAL AND CARRY Permit to ENTER THERE BUSINESS AT WILL WHILE CARRYING A GUN REGARDLESS OF THE STATUS OF THEIR BAN ON GUNS ON THEIR PROPERTY
DO THE PATRONS DESERVE TO KNOW THAT "SOME GUNS ARE ALLOWED:?
and ITS COMMON FOR ESTABLISHMENTS & OWNERS TO ALLOW THESE GUNS.
FURTHERMORE SHOULD THE PATRON BE TOLD THAT THE VERY SIGN HOLD NO FORCE OF LAW. THAT IT IS NO MORE THAN A RULE THAT THE BUSINESS OWNER CHOOSES TO ADOPT. SOME RULES ARE, NO FOOD OR DRINK IN THE MUSEUM. A RULE IS NOT A LAW. BREAKING A RULE IS NOT BREAKING A LAW.
THESE "NO GUNS ALLOWED" SIGNS Carry NO force of LAW!
I WILL REPEAT... THESE SIGNS Carry NO force of LAW!
KNOWING ALL THIS.... HOW CAN ANY BAR/BUSINESS OWNER WILLINGLY POST A SIGN THAT THEY KNOW IS COMPLETELY MISLEADING? LET ALONE NO FORCE OF LAW.
CONTINUED USE OF A SIGN THAT KNOWINGLY SENDS A FALSE SENSE OF SAFETY AND SECURITY TO A MAJORITY OF ITS PATRONS SEEMS TO BE A DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE PATRONS TRUST.
MAY AS WELL JUST TAKE DOWN TEE SIGN.
OR CHANGE THE WORDING TO "SOME GUNS ALLOWED"
PLEASE CONSIDER THESE QUESTIONS
Are the signs meant to keep ALL guns out?
Are the signs meant to keep ALL weapons out?Are these signs expected to be followed by Registerred conceal carriers?Are these signs expected to be followed by UNKNOWN conceal carriers?Are these signs meant to deny ALL people who carry a gun to enter?
Are these signs meant to allow SOME people who carry a gun to enter?
Do bar owners who post NO GUN signs expect their RULE, their signs to be honored?
Honored ALL the time? Honored SOME of the time?Are these signs expected to prevent a criminal from entering with a gun?How many believe guns belong in a BAR.How many actually THINK and Believe that its illegal for a permitted conceal carrier to enter a bar, when its not illegal?How many actually THINK and believe that its illegall for a permitted conceal carrier to enter a bar and consume alcohol, when its not illegal?
as long as they dont get over the limit DRUNK. (They lose their permit)Do bar owners have a right to refuse what Conceal Carry Pernits Grant. Meaning does a Bar RULE trump IOWA LAW?How many bar owners compromise their own rule?What expectations do customers have when they see a NO GUN sign ?Do people take the NO GUNS sign for its Literal meaning?Do people take the GUN SIGNS seriously?Do Bar owners take their own GUN SIGNS seriously?Wonder how many customers feel if the SIGN says NO GUNS ,will they feel SAFER?Wonder if the customer expects the NO GUNS signs to mean NO GUNS. Period??If a customer knew that sign was never HONORED how would they feel?
business's should not be allowed to deny service because of race, religion and all that, but, they should have the right to refuse service to someone who thinks they need to carry a gun into said business.... when they banned smoking (which second hand smoke can kill you same as guns) it was a very good thing... do the same with guns.... if you're too insecure to go out without your gun.. stay home and hide in the corner of your basement, I'll take my chances going out without your so called protection
ReplyDeleteHowever , please consider that the individuals who register and obtain a lawful right to conceal & carry a gun are the Responsible ones . and may be the ones who will save your life some day, or many others .
