Theresa Ehlers, Age 46 of Maquoketa was Picked up on an outstanding Arrest warrant on June 20th. She was the former Manger of Len's BP on West Platt St. She is charged with Theft in the first degree. Charged with stealing at least $30,000 from the Business. She is being Held in Jail on $10,000 Bond.
Police officer J.T. Thompson said Ehlers would take money out of the daily Deposit and use the money for personal use. She then tried to repay the money with future Deposits.
UPDATE:
Magistrate John Kies set a $10,000 surety bond for Ehlers.
She is out on bond with a July 14 preliminary hearing scheduled.
Ehlers is no longer employed by the company.
